This item would orginally have been bigger and has been modified as was commonplace in some French Military Regiments.
Style and fabric dates it to approx the 1960's/70's. The label is too faded to be read clearly although it may say 1974
Modifications made - lower front pockets removed, hem taken up(made shorter) and centre back seam taken in to make it smaller.
These jackets are very rare as they were only issued to a few legions, including paratroopers and foreign legion.
