We believe these were made for the Dutch Marines who often seen wearing D.P.M. windproof smocks as issued to U.K. forces, but very few were issued with Ripstop ones. The Tri-Colour Desert Camouflage pattern used on these smocks was adapted by the Dutch forces from the U.S. version.
